Terms of service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
These terms cover the Laterleaf browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox, the Laterleaf web app for phones (app.laterleaf.app) and the optional paid plan, Laterleaf Pro. By installing or using Laterleaf you agree to them.
Laterleaf
Laterleaf saves web articles, with their text and images, into your browser so you can read, search and listen to them, also offline. Your library stays on your devices; if you turn on sync, it is copied to cloud storage you choose and own. How your data is handled is described in the privacy policy.
Laterleaf Free costs nothing and has no time limit. Laterleaf Pro adds features listed on the pricing section of this site and in the extension.
Buying Pro
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time purchase that does not expire. Prices are shown in US dollars; tax, where it applies, is added at checkout. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt or with “Manage subscription” in Laterleaf's settings; Pro then stays until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Before you buy, you can try Pro free for 14 days, without a card. The trial does not turn into a paid plan by itself.
- Pro belongs to your Laterleaf library, not to a device or an account: every browser and phone that uses the same library, through sync or a backup, has Pro. If you start a new library, you can move Pro to it with the email address you paid with.
- Refunds are described in the refund policy.
Price changes
If the price of a subscription changes, you are told before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then. A one-time purchase is never charged again.
Using Laterleaf
- Save only content you are allowed to access, and keep saved copies for your own use. The articles you save belong to their authors and publishers.
- Do not try to get Pro without paying for it, to disrupt the Pro server, or to use Laterleaf against the law.
- Laterleaf's code and design belong to Laterleaf. The fonts and voices it includes are used under their own open licenses.
Your data and backups
Your library lives in your browser's storage and in the cloud storage you connect. We cannot see it and cannot restore it for you. Clearing the browser's data or removing the extension deletes the library on that device, so keep sync on or export a backup from Laterleaf's settings from time to time.
No warranty
Laterleaf is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise that every page can be saved, that it will always be available, or that it is free of errors. Websites, browsers and cloud services can change in ways that affect it.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Laterleaf is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and its total liability is limited to what you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
Ending
You can stop using Laterleaf at any time by removing it; export your library first if you want to keep it. If Laterleaf is ever discontinued, the extension keeps working with the library on your devices, and paid subscriptions stop renewing.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is published on this page with a new date. Changes that matter to paying users are also announced in Laterleaf before they apply.
